It’s hard to say one of these subjects is more important than another, because they’re all important things to know and wonderful knowledge to learn. I did find the subject of Adopting an Older Golden Retriever to be very interesting. The older Golden (unlike many other breeds) can easily adapt into his new home and is able to spend a quality amount of time by himself. This is not something you can say about a younger Golden. Older Goldens are almost always housebroken, even with coming into a completely new home. They are also very well behaved. Before making a final decision to adopt an older Golden, you should take him for a few days to see if he fits in good with your home. As easy going and loving as these dogs are, the older Golden does need to be reassured that you are his new owner and that you love him and want him. Goldens are very loyal and loving dogs that live simply for their owners affection. If this older Golden is moving into your home, it is a sure thing that he is very sad without his previous owner. However, if you show him the affection he needs, he will be just fine – growing to love and admire you as his new owner. I learned all this and so much more from this one subject! I went through this entire category of Golden Retriever Tips like I was reading a book! I wanted all the information they offered, so I could learn everything there was to know about my perfect companion! I’ve always heard that human food wasn’t good for any dog, but that’s all I knew. The section Human Food for your Golden Retriever explained that some foods are actually very healthy for Goldens! These foods include chicken, raw veggies, turkey, brown rice, fruits and oatmeal! I love my puppy, and I wouldn’t want to eat that hard dog food everyday either! I don’t mind making my Golden oatmeal a few times a week if it’s that healthy and enjoyable for him! It also gives him a chance to eat something different. I put it in his food dish on the floor, just like I do his dog food. He loves it! He is my special puppy and a wonderful friend, so he deserves a healthy and tasty treat! In this section, I also learned that just because he runs to the fridge when I open the door, doesn’t mean he’s begging for food. His sense of smell is very strong and he smells something good. He wants to see what it is. It doesn’t mean he’s begging you at all. I LOVE all the information Golden Retriever Tips is giving me on my very special breed! I’ve been trying to soak up every bit of information offered!

My favorite subject in the Retriever Advice category was for sure Socializing your Golden Retriever! I didn’t realize how important it was to socialize a dog! I understand it now but never thought of it before! I learned that between the ages of 8-weeks to 8-months socializing is most important. You know your friend’s dog who immediately jumps on you the second you walk in the door? The dog does that because he hasn’t been taught to socialize. More than likely, he is over excited, because he doesn’t see new people very often. Because I hate when dogs act crazy around new people, I definitely understand how important it is that my Golden learns to socialize!

The final category is simply a photo gallery with beautiful pictures of different Goldens! If you’re truly a Golden-lover, you would probably have downloaded Golden Retriever Tips for the sole purpose of this photo gallery! As beautiful as the grown Golden is, the Golden puppy is just about the most gorgeous animal God ever created. This photo gallery is full of them!

Golden Retriever Tips is a wonderful app for anyone with an interest in Golden Retrievers! It’s jam-packed with useful and important information – as good as any book you could buy! I loved every part!
